Jordan – Founder, Dog Walker & Groomer

My passion for animals began early, spending most of my teenage years at a local horse riding school and caring for dogs at every opportunity. After a rewarding 10+ year career in the NHS, I made the decision in 2023 to follow that passion and build a career focused on animal care, wellbeing, and the outdoors, particularly in dog walking and dog grooming.

I founded New Leash of Life to provide a professional, compassionate service centred on each dog’s individual needs—combining exercise, enrichment, and a calm, positive approach. This includes offerings such as dog walking, dog grooming, and pet sitting. I’m particularly interested in consent-based, fear-free handling to ensure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and happy in my care.

Katie worked as a part-time dog walker for NLOL, providing both 1-1 and group dog walking services, from June 2025 until February 2026. She now runs her own scent work and mantrailing business in Okehampton, which also includes pet sitting and dog walking options. Hello, I'm Scarlett and I am 9 years old. I prefer cats over dogs, but I do have some favourite pooches in the pack. I love my bedtime cuddles with our Gypsy! I also have a Russian Dwarf hamster named Coco Bean.

Our 73-plate, medium wheelbase Vauxhall Vivaro is purposefully adapted to provide safe and comfortable transport for every dog in our care, whether for dog grooming, dog walking, or pet sitting.

It is fully equipped with 1 extra-large, 2 large, and 2 medium secure crates, as well as additional open space for dogs who prefer not to travel confined. An electric ventilation system and constant interior lighting ensure a calm, well-ventilated environment at all times, perfect for dogs during their grooming sessions or relaxing after a long walk.

The vehicle is leased to guarantee reliability, with full breakdown cover, routine servicing, MOTs, and maintenance all included. This ensures uninterrupted service, so your dog’s care is never affected by vehicle downtime.
